The attorney for the student is speaking out about this bizarre incident. And ABC’s Clayton Sandell joins us from our L.A. Bureau. Good morning. Reporter: Good morning, guys. That teacher is out of jail. But in a lot of trouble. This morning, she’s facing a number of charges for what officials call disturbing behavior at a California high school. And now, new video of that bizarre outburst from inside the classroom. Take a seat. Reporter: This morning, it’s the star-spangled meltdown. ??? What so proudly we hailed ??? Reporter: Taking this California high school teacher from her classroom to a courtroom. 52-year-old Margaret gieszinger arrested after grabbing scissors and appearing to forcibly cut this student’s hair, belting out her edition of the national anthem. He’s hired an attorney who claims this might not be an isolated incident. There’s been some conversation that at another school, there was an incident which the desks were pushed to the side and while this particular teacher did snow angels on the carpet. Reporter: The video appears to show gieszinger chasing other students around the room. Scissors in the air. The kids running for the door. No, miss G. Reporter: New video showing the teacher continuing to yell after most students left the classroom. He couldn’t believe what was happening. He didn’t know what to do. He was absolutely terrified. Reporter: In court, she pleaded not guilty to a host of misdemeanor charges, including cruelty to a child. Assault. Battery. And false imprisonment. She was silent as she left jail. The school district says gieszinger was removed from the classroom and that she won’t be back. The school saying we’re reviewing all available information and will take the most severe employment action appropriate. State records show she had her teaching credentials suspended twice in the past. Though the reason why is not clear. Her husband telling ABC station KFSN this behavior isn’t like her. Trying to figure out myself. It’s not her. Reporter: We have not been able to reach gieszinger for comment. If she’s convicted, guys, she could face some serious time, 3 1/2 years in jail. Wow.
