Now to the governor of new York urging Jeff bezos and Amazon to reconsider its decision not to come to New York City. Governor Andrew Cuomo making this personal speaking directly with founder Jeff bezos pleading with Amazon to come back to the bargaining table. Now, the governor and New York City’s mayor rolling out the red carpet for Amazon complete with roughly $3 billion in tax incentives. Amazon promising more than 25,000 jobs in return. Now, the company took the deal but when some local lawmakers and new yorkers expressed their outrage Amazon abruptly pulled the issue highlighting a national debate about how much cities should be willing to give up to lure big business. “The New York Times” reporting the governor has been feverishly working the phones promising to help guide Amazon through new York’s governmental red tape. Michael. We hear governor Cuomo isn’t the only one trying to lure Amazon back. Reporter: Michael, that’s right. Also in “The times” an open letter published with the signatures of more than 70 local leaders, business leaders, elected officials and union bosses urging Amazon to come back to New York, but so far no indication that the company will reconsider.
