Now to the frightening scene in ft. Lauderdale. A small plane crashing into a high-rise. Authorities say the plane slammed into the 18-story building. Surveillance video showing the plane’s final moments. The pilot trying to pull up. The banner catching part of the building. ABC’s Victor Oquendo is there for us tonight. Reporter: Tonight, the plane’s crumpled wreckage still lying 160 feet below where it slammed into the side of this high-rise. The caller’s advising that the plane crashed into his apartment. Reporter: A banner trailing the plane seems to get caught. Inside you can see the damage. This yellow banner plane was in the air for 90 minutes before crashing in between the 16 and 17th floor of this fort Lauderdale condo, leaving that gaping hole. I heard a loud bang, and then a couple seconds later there was a crash. Reporter: The pilot, the only person on board, did not survive. Construction crews were working on the deck below at the time of the crash while residents were inside the building. Incredibly, none of them injured by the falling aircraft. It could have been much worse? It could have been substantially worse with a lot more injuries on scene. Tom, we’re learning in 2015 this same plane had an engine failure. That plane is behind me. The NTSB is here and they’ll be heading the investigation. Tom?
