Opening up about her affair with president Bill Clinton and revealing why she shared her secret with Linda Tripp. Here’s ABC’s Lana Zak. Okay, great. Where do you want to work? Reporter: Tonight in a new interview, Monica Lewinsky revealing what led her to confide to Linda Tripp about her affair with president Clinton. Saying she felt Clinton first misled her about a future job and then froze her out when he was re-elected. I had this nagging insecurity, maybe he just did all these things this last six months because he was trying to keep me quiet during the election. How stupid am I? Those were the conditions along with some other things that led me to confiding in Linda Tripp. Reporter: In a new a & E documentary “The Clinton affair” Lewinsky recalls how Tripp — the co-worker she thought she could trust — secretly recorded her. Let’s just say they’re going to try to trick you. Okay, “Did she ever tell you about her affair with that one.” Mm-hmm. Reporter: Even confessing to Tripp about her fear of betrayal. I have fear about one thing, and that’s you saying something. And I am on the precipice of this legal nightmare, and there is one person, who, if she just agrees to do what she said she would always do, which was protect my secret, it would maybe all be okay. Reporter: Tom, during the investigation and the impeachment, Lewinsky says she was barred from speaking. Now she’s sat with filmmakers for more than 20 hours.
